A Look at 5 Fancy Dog Beds
Once upon a time dogs used to just relax on the beds of their owners but now you can find some pretty fancy pet beds that are made just for them. Animal beds are a great investment to make because they give your precious pup their own place to relax and sleep. Many dogs find them to be comfortable and somewhat protective - especially for smaller breeds.
• Standard Pet Beds. Standard beds pretty much look like a pillow. You can get them in a variety of sizes, colors and patterns. These beds do not have any sides, rims or edges and they're usually either rectangle, round, oval or square in shape. The materials used in standard pet beds are typically microfiber, fleece or flannel.
• Donut pet Beds. These types of pet mats are normally very plush and made of soft fabrics. Small dogs really enjoy curling up in this bed with a fluffy bottom cushion and raised edges. The raised edge goes all the way around the bed making it look like a donut. This type of bed may not be the best for older pets because of the difficulty they may have getting in and out of something so plush.
• Orthopedic Pet Beds. Like humans, dogs can also have orthopedic problems such as arthritis, which is why you can now find orthopedic dog mats. These fancy bedding are made with extra support that will help put less stress on your dog's joints. This type of dog bedding is great for the seniors as well. These beds have no raised edges or sides making them very easy to climb on and off.
• Dog Beds with Frames. One of the fancier pet beds you will ever see are those that have frames and look like an actual bed. These are typically raised off of the floor and may even contain an actual mattress! They basically look like dog sofas. Some animals do not like to lie right on the floor because it's cold or dirty but having a raised dog bed allows them to stay a bit warm and have their very own space up off the floor.
• Heated pet Beds. Did you know they have heated pet beds? This is definitely one of the fancy pet beds because it helps your dog stay warm. It's perfect for older dogs or dogs that are very thin. Also, your pet may have an easier time during the colder months if they have a heated bed to curl up in.
